That the proposal would be contrary to policy H12 of the adopted South
Oxfordshire Local Plan. Having regard to the excessive size and bulk of
the proposed extensions that would increase the overall height of the
dwelling by 3 metres, the proposal would be both prominent and intrusive,
and detract from the character of this part of Horspath. In addition,
the proposed 3.8 metre deep two storey rear extension would be an
unneighbourly and intrusive form of development that would detract from
the residential amenities currently enjoyed by the occupiers of both 17
and 21 The Green.
