Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to its height, form and prominent siting, particularly
when viewed from Woodlands Road, the proposed tower and associated antennae
would constitute an intrusive and incongruous form of development which
would be detrimental to the character and appearance of this part of an
Area of Great Landscape Value. Therefore, the development would be
contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local
Plan, particularly policies G1, G15, C1 and C3. The applicants'
justification for a tower in this location does not warrant any departure
from the planning policies of the Local Planning Authority.
