Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 2nd December 1998
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to the openness and rural character of the area, the provision and use of a hard surface tennis court with associated fencing represents an unacceptable and alien form of development which would detract from: the rural nature and appearance of the area which is an Area of Great Landscape Value; the character of this stretch of the River Thame; and the openness of this part of the Oxford Green Belt. As such the proposal would be inappropriate development and contrary to policies G1, C1, C3, C4, GB3 and GB4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
