Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to the size and bulk of the extensions which
would envelop and more than double the size of the building, the proposals
would detract from the character and appearance of the building and
would represent a cramped and unacceptable form of development which
together with the extensive vehicle parking area would detract from
the visual amenity of the street scene. As such the proposal would
be contrary to Policy G8 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
That the development would result in an intensification of use of a
substandard access lacking adequate visibility and would be detrimental
to highway safety contrary to Policy G10 of the South Oxfordshire
Local Plan.
