That the development would be contrary to the provisions of the adopted
South Oxfordshire Local Plan which generally seek to resist development
which would extend the built-up areas of settlements into the open
countryside (Policies G5 and H6) and to conserve and enhance the natural
beauty of the Areas of Oustanding Natural Beauty (Policy C2).  In this
case the development would further extend an existing ribbon of
development into open countryside within the Chilterns Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty to the detriment of the character and
landscape of the area.
