Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of
five years from the date of this consent.
Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such
steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the
safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to
provide protection for the building against the weather during the
progress of the works.
Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building.
That samples of all materials to be used in the external construction and
finishes of the works hereby permitted shall be submitted to and
approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before the
work is commenced.
Reason: To safeguard the character of the area.
That works shall not begin until a detailed specification of the type,
design and external finish of all windows has been submitted to and
approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
No works shall take place on site until the applicant, or their agent
or successors in title, has secured the making of a detailed record/
implementation of a scheme of recording of the building(s) concerned.
This must be carried out by an archaeological/building recording
consultant or organisation in accordance with a written scheme of
investigation which shall first have been submitted to and agreed by
the local planning authority.
Reason: As the building is of archaeological/historic importance.
