Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 10th February 1999
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to their size, bulk and design, the extensions would dominate the existing dwelling and would be detrimental to its character and appearance. As such the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policy H12. That, having regard to their size, proximity to the eastern boundary and the inclusion of a first floor balcony, the extensions would be harmful to the amenity of neighbours on the account of their overbearing appearance and the loss of privacy that would result. As such the proposal is contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policy H12.
