Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of
five years from the date of this consent.
Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such
steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the
safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to
provide protection for the building against the weather during the
progress of the works.
Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building.
That the external walls and roof of the building be constructed and
finished in accordance with a schedule of materials and finishes which
shall first have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local
Planning Authority before the works commence.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
That the brickwork and flintwork to be used in the external walls shall
be pointed using a lime-based mortar mix.
Reason: To safeguard the character and appearance of the historic
structure.
That works shall not begin until a detailed specification of the type,
design and external finish of all windows, doors and means of ventilation
has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning
Authority; and the works shall be carried out in accordance with the
approved specification.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
