Cricket pavilion, car parking and access (as amended by agent's letter dated 21 May 1998 and accompanying drawings nos. 657/10A and 11A and by drawing no. 657/14A accompanying agent's letter dated 19 August 1998).
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development must be begun not later than the expiration of five
years beginning with the date of this permission and if this condition
is not complied with this permission shall lapse.
Reason: By virtue of Sections 91 to 95 of the Town and Country Planning
Act 1990.
That samples of the materials to be used for the roof shall be submitted
to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before any
development commences. Thereafter, the roof shall be covered only with
the approved materials.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory.
That, prior to the first use of the pavilion hereby permitted, the
horizontal timber boarding used to clad the building shall be stained
black and thereafter maintained as such.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory.
That development shall not begin until a detailed specification of the
type, design and external finish of all windows and external doors has
been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning
Authority. Thereafter, the windows and external doors shall be installed
only in accordance with the approved specification.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory.
That, prior to the first use of the pavilion hereby permitted, car
parking shall be provided as shown on drawing no. 657/11A; and such parking
provision shall be retained thereafter.
Reason: To comply with the Local Planning Authority's vehicle parking
standards and to protect local amenities.
That the parking area shall be constructed and surfaced in accordance with
a schedule of materials which shall first have been submitted to and
approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before the development
commences.
Reason: To secure a satisfactory appearance.
That the existing trees and hedges on the land shall be protected whilst
development operations are in progress, in accordance with a scheme to be
first agreed in writing with the Local Planning Authority and to be
implemented prior to the commencement of the development.
Reason: To safeguard the character of the area.
That, prior to the first use of the pavilion hereby permitted, the
existing pavilion shown on drawing no. 657/11A shall be demolished
and all the resulting materials removed from the land.
Reason: To safeguard the character of the area.
That, prior to the commencement of any other development to which this
permission relates, the means of access between the land and the highway
shall be formed, laid out and constructed strictly in accordance with the
specification of the means of access attached hereto, and all ancillary
works therein specified shall be undertaken strictly in accordance with
the said specification.
Reason: In the interests of highway safety and convenience.
That, prior to the commencement of any development, details of any
external lighting for the pavilion and/or the car park shall be
submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
Thereafter, the building and car park shall not be lit other than in
accordance with the approved details.
Reason: To ensure that any lighting does not adversely affect the
character and appearance of this part of the Chilterns Area
of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
