Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, particularly having regard to its height and siting in close proximity to the boundary with the adjacent residential property, Millaway, the proposed extension would result in a cramped form of development and an overdevelopment of the site which would have an oppressive and overbearing impact on the occupiers of Millaway, detrimental to their residential amenity. Therefore, the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policy H12. That, particularly having regard to its siting in close proximity to the boundary with the adjacent residential property, the proposed extension would result in a continuous form of built development across the plot which would be out of keeping with the spacious character of the surrounding street scene which lies within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Therefore, the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policy H12.
