Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of
five years from the date of this consent.
Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
That works shall not commence until a contract has been entered into for
the redevelopment of the site or such other measure is in place, to ensure
the redevelopment in accordance with planning permission reference
P97/W0414 (or such other permission as shall be approved in writing by
the Local Planning Authority as being relevant for the purposes of this
condition) has been approved by the Local Planning Authority in writing.
Reason: To safeguard the character of the Goring-on-Thames Conservation
Area and because consent is only granted for an acceptable
redevelopment.
That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of the consent, such
steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the
safety and stability of the buildings to be retained during the demolition
works, and to provide protection for the building against the weather
during the progress of the works.
Reason: To safeguard the character of the Goring-on-Thames Conservation
Area of which the retained building is an important part.
