Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 5th November 1997
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to its size and siting, the proposed two storey side extension represents an overintensive form of development. Insufficient space would exist to provide adequate on-site parking provision for this form of enlarged property without harm to the visual amenity of the locality and the extension would have an unbalancing effect on the duality of design of one of a row of similar pairs of semi-detached houses, detrimental to the character and visual amenity of the street scene and this part of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As such, the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G1, C2 and H12.
