Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposed development would be contrary to the provisions of the
adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan which seeks to preserve or enhance
the character of Conservation Areas and Areas of Outstanding Natural
Beauty by ensuring that the design and appearance of all new development
is of a high standard which is in sympathy with the character of the
surrounding area (Policies CON8, CON10, C2).  Having regard to their
prominent location within an attractive open area and the inappropriate
materials used, the cloche and shed would represent an unacceptable and
intrusive form of development which would be detrimental to the
character and visual amenity of the Goring-on-Thames Conservation Area
and the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
