Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of
five years from the date of this consent.
Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such
steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the
safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to
provide protection for the building against the weather during the
progress of the works.
Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building.
That samples of the materials to be used for the roof and the brick
plinth of the porch shall be submitted to and approved in writing by
the Local Planning Authority before any work commences.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
That the roof shall be thatched with long straw with a plain flush ridge.
Reason: To safeguard the character of the listed building.
No works shall take place until a detailed record/implementation of a
scheme of recording of the building has been secured. This must be
carried out by an archaeological/building recording consultant or
organisation in accordance with a written scheme of investigation
which shall first have been submitted to and agreed in writing by the
Local Planning Authority.
Reason: As the building is of archaeological/historic importance.
That works shall not begin until a detailed specification of the
type, design and external finish of all windows and external doors has
been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning
Authority.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
