That, having regard to their excessive size and the incorporation of
a substantial area of flat roof, the proposed extensions would result
in an incongruous form of development which would detract from the
character and appearance of the original dwellings and be detrimental
to the visual amenity of the locality which lies within the Chilterns
Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  Therefore, the development would
be contrary to the provisions of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local
Plan, particularly policies H12 and C2.
