Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of five years from the date of this consent. Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to provide protection for the building against the weather during the progress of the works. Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building. That the materials to be used for the making good of the wall and the new pier shall be of the same colour, type and texture as those used on the existing wall. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory. That the retained section of wall shall be made good in accordance with a scheme which shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before any demolition commences. Reason: To safeguard the architectural and historic character and appearance of the Henley-on-Thames Conservation Area.
