Conditions / Refusal Reasons
Having regard to the restricted size of the site and to the location
of the proposed dwelling in relation to adjacent properties, the
proposals would result in a cramped and intrusive form of development
which would be out of keeping with the character of the area and would
detract from the residential amenity currently enjoyed by the occupants
of adjoining properties, in particular number 3 Glimbers Grove.  The
proposals would thereby be contrary to policy H4 in the South Oxfordshire
Local Plan.
The application fails to demonstrate that adequate parking and turning
areas would be provided on the site which would result in vehicles
reversing onto Oakley Road, to the detriment of highway safety and
convenience.
