Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 16th December 1998
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposal constitutes an intrusive and unneighbourly form of
development detrimental to the residential amenities of the occupants
of neighbouring properties by reason of noise and disturbance from
vehicle movements into a quiet back garden area. The development would
thereby conflict with the Council's housing and residential standards
policies (H11 and G7) contained within the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
That the development would be contrary to the general, Green Belt and
countryside policies contained within the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
The development would be visually intrusive in the locality, detracting
from the visual amenities of the locality and the openness of the Oxford
Green Belt and would be detrimental to the visual amenities of this area
of Great Landscape Value (Policies G7, GB4 and C3).
