Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the proposal is contrary to the countryside, recreation and Green
Belt policies of the Oxfordshire Structure Plan and the South Oxfordshire
Local Plan.  The proposal to extend the golf course onto this low lying
land adjacent to the River Thame together with the general earthworks
and mounding proposed would detract from the open nature and rural
character of this part of the Green Belt and have an adverse effect on
the character and appearance of the Area of Great Landscape Value.
The proposal would adversely affect the openness of the Oxford Green
Belt contrary to advice in PPG2.
