That notwithstanding the provisions of Article 3 of, and Class A of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 (or any order revoking or re-enacting that Order), no development within Class A of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Order shall be carried out on the land unless planning permission has first been granted by the Local Planning Authority on a formal application in respect thereof. Reason: To protect local amenities.
