That the proposal would be contrary to policy G8 of the Council's approved
South Oxfordshire Local Plan (as proposed to be modified). Having regard
to the restricted size of the site and its prominence in the street scene,
the proposal to erect a two bedroom bungalow in close proximity to the
existing bungalow would result in a cramped and intrusive form of
development that would be out of keeping with neighbouring properties
and detract from the visual amenities of the locality.
That having regard to the proximity of the proposed dwelling to the
existing bungalow, No. 11 Oxford Road, the proposal would be detrimental
to the residential amenities of the occupiers of that property by
reason of the oppressive intrusion and loss of outlook that would result.
