Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 23rd April 1997
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That particularly having regard to its height, form and prominent siting within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, particularly when viewed from the north and east, the proposed 25 metre high lattice work tower with associated antennae and microwave dishes would constitute an intrusive and incongruous form of development which would be detrimental to the special landscape character and appearance of this part of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Therefore, the development would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's adopted Rural Areas Local Plan, particularly policies G1, C1 and C7, and approved South Oxfordshire Local Plan (as proposed to be modified), particularly policies G1, G15, C1 and C2.
