Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of
five years from the date of this consent.
Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
That no works shall take place until a professionally competent
archaeological organisation, as approved in writing by the Local Planning
Authority, has been commissioned to carry out a full watching brief during
the course of works affecting the historic fabric. The watching brief
which shall include drawings and photographs of the existing staircase and
wall painting shall be carried out in accordance with a written
specificaton to be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local
Planning Authority prior to works commencing on the site.
Reason: To safeguard the identification and recording of features of
historic and/or archaeological interest associated with the fabric
of the building.
That no works shall take place until a detailed specification of the new
staircase has been submitted and approved in writing by the Local Planning
Authority.
Reason: To safeguard the architectural and historic character and
appearance of the listed building.
