That having regard to the height of the proposed extension and its
relationship with the adjacent bungalow, the first floor extension over
the existing kitchen, in particular, respresents an oppressive and
overbearing form of development which would be detrimental to the
residential amenities of the occupants of Hiberna. As such the proposal
would be contrary to policy G5 of the adopted Rural Areas Local
(1992) and policies G8 and H12 of the approved South Oxfordshire Local
Plan (1993).
