Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 14th May 1997
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That, having regard to its proximity to windows in adjacent properties,
the proposed block of flats would result in an unneighbourly form of
development which would overshadow and be overbearing to those
properties. The development would also fail to provide adequate amenity
space for the new flats and would reduce the amenity space available
for the existing flats. Therefore, the development would be detrimental to
the residential amenities enjoyed by both the occupiers of the existing and
proposed flats and would be contrary to the provisions of the Council's
adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies H4 and H11.
