Planning Permission on 6th May 1997
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development must be begun not later than the expiration of five years beginning with the date of this permission and if this condition is not complied with this permission shall lapse. Reason: By virtue of Sections 91 to 95 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. That development shall not begin until a detailed specification of the type, design and external finish of all windows and external doors has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory. That all rainwater goods shall be constructed of cast iron. Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory. That samples of all bricks and tiles to be used for the making good of the walls and roof shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before any development commences. Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory. That where walls are to be repaired, the bricks shall be laid or re-laid using traditional lime mortar. Reason: To ensure that the details of the development are satisfactory. That the games room and craft room shall be used for purposes incidental to the enjoyment of the dwellinghouse, Crowsley Park House, and for no other purpose whatsoever. Reason: The use of these outbuildings separate from the main house would result in a substantial house with only a limited range of outbuildings available for domestic use. That the studio and storage/display areas shall be used only for the purposes specified in the application and for no other purpose whatsoever. Reason: The Local Planning Authority wishes to retain control over the future use of the buildings to ensure that it does not become unneighbourly to the main house or result in an increase in traffic using the narrow lanes in the area. That the occupation of the Grooms flat shall be limited to a person employed at Crowsley Park House or a dependant of such a person residing with him/her. Reason: To ensure that adequate staff accommodation remains available to service the house. That, prior to the commencement of the development hereby permitted, a photographic record shall be made of the buildings. This should be carried out by an archaeologist/building recorder or organisation with acknowledged experience in the recording of standing buildings and be presented in a form which is acceptable to and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: The building is of archaeological/historic importance.
