Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of
five years from the date of this consent.
Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
That a description of the steps and works to be undertaken and carried
out under this consent shall be submitted to the Local Planning Authority
before any work of demolition is begun and no work of demolition shall be
begun until the said Authority has signified in writing its approval to
the proposed steps and works. Such steps and works shall, where
necessary, include in relation to any part of the building to be retained,
measures to strengthen any wall or horizontal surface, and to provide
protection for the building against the weather during the progress of
the works.
Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building.
That samples of the materials to be used for the external walls and
roofs, which shall include plain clay tiles, shall be submitted to and
approved by the Local Planning Authority in writing before any
works commence
Reason: To safeguard the architectural and historic character and
appearance of the listed building and the amenity of the area.
That all rainwater goods shall be constructed of cast iron.
Reason: To safeguard the architectural and historic character and
appearance of the listed building and the amenity of the area.
That works shall not begin until a detailed specification of the
type, design and external finish of all windows, external doors and
rainwater goods has been submitted to and approved in writing by the
Local Planning Authority.
Reason: To safeguard the character and appearance of the existing
listed building and the amenity of the area.
