That, by virtue of the height and design of the lamp posts and lanterns,
the structures and lighting would be unduly prominent and visually
intrusive to the detriment of the rural character and appearance of the
area which lies within an Area of Great Landscape Value.  The proposal
would, therefore, be contrary to the provisions of the Council's
adopted Rural Areas Local Plan, particularly policies G5 and C8, and
approved South Oxfordshire Local Plan, particularly policies G8 and C3.
