Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of five years from the date of this consent. Reason: By virtue of Sections 18 and 74 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. That a description of the steps and works to be undertaken and carried out under this consent shall be submited to the Local Planning Authority before any work of demolition is begun and no work of demolition shall be begun until the said Authority has signified in writing its approval to the proposed steps and works. Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the remaining wall. That the materials for the piers shall be of reclaimed bricks from the existing wall or otherwise where a sample of the bricks to be used has first been submitted to and approved by the Local Planning Authority prior to the commencement of the demolition. Reason: To safeguard the character and appearance of the Henley Conservation Area That the wall shall only be demolished in connection with the implementation of the parking spaces approved under planning permission P96/S0091 dated 23 April 1996. Reason: To safeguard the character and appearance of the Henley-on-Thames Conservation Area.
