Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of five years from the date of this consent. Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to provide protection for the building against the weather during the progress of the works. Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building. That samples of all materials to be used in the external construction and finishes of any works are hereby permitted shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before the development is commenced. Reason: To safeguard the architectural and historic character and appearance of the listed building. That details of the translucent dome and planor glazing to be used in the construction of the development shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before any works are commenced. Reason: To safeguard the architectural and historic character and appearance of the listed building. That works shall not begin until a detailed specification of the type, design and external finish of all windows and external doors has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To safeguard the architectural and historic character and appearance of the listed building. That no works hereby permitted shall commence until there has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority a scheme for providing an archaeological watching brief during construction/ground works, particularly whilst any ground works and works to the existing building are being undertaken. Such scheme shall make provision for the watching brief to be carried out by an approved professional organisation and the watching brief shall be undertaken strictly in accordance with the approved scheme. Reason: To safeguard the recording and inspection of matters of archaeological importance on the site and identification and recordings of features of historic and/or archaeological interest associated with the fabric of the building.
