That the advertisement sign shall not be illuminated when the premises
are not open for the service of the public.
Reason: To protect local amenities.
That the intensity of illumination shall not exceed 1600 candelas per
square metre as detailed in The Institution of Lighting Engineers
Technical Report No 5 (2nd Edition).
Reason: In the interests of highway safety and convenience.
