Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 19th February 1997
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the development as proposed and built is contrary to the provisions of the adopted Central Oxfordshire Local Plan and the approved South Oxfordshire Local Plan, which seek to ensure that the District's rural and built environments are protected from adverse development (policy G1 COLP, policy G1 SOLP). Extensions to existing dwellings are not normally permitted where a loss of privacy and residential amenity of nearby occupants is harmed (policy G5 COLP, policies H11 and H12 SOLP). Having regard to its position in relation to the adjoining property, number 58 Gidley Way, the window serving the living room in the south west elevation of the extension overlooks the adjacent property and is detrimental to the residential amenities enjoyed by the occupants of number 58 Gidley Way.
