Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of five years from the date of this consent. Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. That samples of the materials to be used for the external walls and roofs shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before any works commence. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory. That the garage doors shall be constructed with vertical dark stained timber boarding. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory. That works shall not begin until a detailed specification of the type, design and external finish of all windows and external doors has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory. That all rainwater goods shall be constructed of cast iron. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory. That the natural stone to be used in the construction shall be laid with a traditional lime mortar mix and in a random rubble pattern with the joints finished with flush bagged pointing. Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory. All existing stone walls shall be retained and repaired where necessary unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To safeguard the architectural and historic character and appearance of the listed building and the amenity of the Great Haseley Conservation Area. That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to provide protection for the building against the weather during the progress of the works. Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building. Prior to the commencement of works the applicant will be responsible for arranging for a record to be made of the buildings concerned. This should be undertaken by an archaeologist/building recorder or organisation with acknowledged experience in the recording of standing buildings and be presented in a form which is acceptable and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: As the buildings are of archaeological and historic importance.
