Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of
five years from the date of this consent.
Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such
steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the
safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to
provide protection for the building against the weather during the
progress of the works.
Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building.
That works shall not begin until details of the lime mortar mix for
repointing has been submitted to and agreed in writing by the Local
Planning Authority.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
That works shall not begin until a detailed specification of the
restored window, including the shutters, has been submitted to and
agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
That works shall not begin until samples of the natural stone and
ironwork to be used in the restoration have been submitted to and agreed
in writing by the Local Planning Authority, and the works shall be
carried out using materials which shall be of the same colour, type
and texture as the approved samples.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
No works shall commence on the building in pursuance of this consent
until the applicant has been responsible for organising a watching brief
to be maintained during the course of the works affecting the historic
fabric. The watching brief shall be carried out in accordance with a
written specification and by a professional archaeologist or
archaeological organisation with acknowledged experience in the recording
of standing buildings, such specification and nominee to be submitted to
and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority prior to works
commencing.
Reason: To safeguard the identification and recording of features of
historic and/or archaeological interest associated with the
fabric of the building.
