Conditions / Refusal Reasons
That the works hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of
five years from the date of this consent.
Reason: By virtue of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and
Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
That before any work is undertaken in pursuance of this consent, such
steps shall be taken and such works shall be carried out to secure the
safety and stability of the building during the alterations, and to
provide protection for the building against the weather during the
progress of the works.
Reason: To secure the safety and protection of the listed building.
That the works shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the
description, plans and specifications contained in the application, and
subject to the conditions hereby imposed.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory, and
to protect the character of the building as a building of
special architectural or historic interest.
That, prior to the commencement of the works hereby permitted, a detailed
specification or scheme, as appropriate, shall be submitted to and
approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority of the following
works:-
a) the insulation treatment of the barn;
b) the relocation of the panelling in rooms 7 and 18; and
c) all new external windows and doors.
Reason: To ensure that the details of the works are satisfactory.
No development shall commence on site until the applicant has been
responsible for organising an archaeological watching brief, to be
maintained during the period of construction/groundworks affecting
below ground archaeological deposits and the historic fabric of the
building. The watching brief shall be carried out in accordance
with a written specification and by a professional archaeological
organisation that has first been agreed in writing by the Local
Planning Authority.
Reason: To safeguard the recording and inspection of matters of
archaeological importance on the site and the identification
and recording of features of historic and/or archaeological
interest associated with the fabric of the building.
