That the increased height of the front wall is contrary to the
conservation policies of the Council's adopted Rural Areas Local Plan
(Policies CON1 and CON7) and the approved South Oxfordshire Local Plan
(Policies CON7 and CON8). The prominent raised wall has been constructed
using a poor quality brick that does not integrate satisfactorily with
the original wall and constitutes an intrusive and incongruous feature
that is detrimental to the character and appearance of the Sydenham
Conservation Area and to the setting of Kingham House, a grade II listed
building.
