Decision
Refusal of Certificate of Lawful Use or Development on 10th January 2024
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposed development as shown on drwgno 28112302-1 does not fall within Class A, Part 1 of Schedule 2 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015 (as amended) ("the Order"). Whilst the conversion of the garage is compliant with Class A.1, Part 1 of Schedule 2, Class A.2(a) prohibits the cladding of any part of the exterior of the dwellinghouse in article 2(3) land and Class A.3 (a) requires that the materials used in any exterior work must be of a similar appearance to those used in the construction of the exterior of the existing dwellinghouse, and therefore planning permission will be required.
