Decision
Refusal of Outline Planning Permission on 31st January 2023
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposed development would be located outside the defined settlement boundary for Woodcote, within an area where there are strict controls over the provision of new housing. The proposal would not constitute appropriate infill development and the scheme would be in fundamental conflict with the spatial strategy of the Development Plan which seeks to secure a sustainable pattern of growth for rural communities. The benefits of granting planning permission would not outweigh the conflict with Policies E4 and H9 of the Woodcote Neighbourhood Plan, Policies STRAT1 and H1 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035 and advice within the National Planning Policy Framework.
