Decision
Refusal of Listed Building Consent on 30th April 2024
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposed works to remove the C19 winder stairs and internal walls would harm historic layout and legibility of the building's evolution. Furthermore, the proposed link extension would fail to create an outbuilding/farmhouse relationship and the style of the replacement windows would not complement the character of the dwelling. As such, the proposal would result in harm to the special characteristics and significance of the Grade II listed building thereby failing to comply with the provisions of the National Planning Policy Framework and Policies ENV6 and ENV7 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035.
