Having regard to the form, height, scale and design of the proposed extensions, the proposal would result in an incongruous and discordant addition, which would detract from the character and appearance of the existing dwelling and the wider street scene. As such, the proposal would be contrary to policies DES1, DES2, and H20 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035, the National Planning Policy Framework and advice contained within the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2016.
