Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 2nd August 2021
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
Having regard to the height and bulk of the proposed side/rear extension, the proposal would result in incongruous and intrusive addition, which would detract from the character and appearance of the existing dwelling, resulting in harm to the non-designated heritage asset and would be detrimental to the visual amenities of the street scene. As such, the proposal would be contrary to policies DES1, DES2, ENV6 and H20 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035, advice contained within the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2016 and Government guidance in the revised National Planning Policy Framework (paragraph 203).
