The proposed development would result in an overly domestic character and appearance of this building and diminish the simple rural character and appearance of the building, especially when viewed from the rear. The proposed development therefore fails to respond positively to or respect the character of the site which would therefore fail to accord with Policies CSEN1 and CSQ3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy, saved policies D1 and G2 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and Policy DQS1 of the Joint Henley and Harpsden Neighbourhood Plan and the National Planning Policy Framework.
