Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 9th October 2019
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The development has created a viewing platform at roof level that has increased the level of and perception of being overlooked to neighbouring properties. As such, the development detracts from the residential amenity of the occupants of the neighbouring properties Aleta and Bell Aspetto contrary to Policies g2 and H13 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan. The development would be contrary to policies CSQ3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy 2027 and policies D1, G2 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

That particularly having regard to the position, size and materials of the terrace guard/handrail the development would be unduly prominent and intrusive in the public realm and detrimental to the character and appearance of the dwelling and that of the area. The development would be contrary to policies CSQ3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy 2027 and policies D1, G2 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
