Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 27th September 2019
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposed carport, by reason of its forward position in relation to Hunters Moon and adjacent dwellings, and proximity to the front boundary of the site, would be out of character with the pattern of development in the immediate vicinity of the site, and would fail to conserve the natural beauty and distinctiveness of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As such, the proposal would be contrary to Policies CSEN1 and CSQ3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policies G2, D1 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and advice contained within the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2016.
