Conditions / Refusal Reasons
Given the design and position of the picket fence to the front of the property, the proposal forms a prominent  feature within the existing street scene. Boundary treatment of this type and size are uncharacteristic of the surrounding area. The development has a negative impact upon the character and appearance of the existing property, site and surrounding  area. As such, the proposed would be contrary to Policies D1 and G2 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan, Policy CSQ3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy, Policy CH C1 of the Chinnor Neighbourhood Plan, advice from the South Oxfordshire Design Guide and to Government guidance in the National Planning Policy Framework.
