Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 10th May 2018
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
The proposed development, through the introduction of first floor balconies, would represent an oppressive and unneighbourly form of development which would be closer to and would afford increased opportunity for overlooking of the rear windows and gardens of properties along Reading Road when compared with the approved first floor windows. The outdoor use of first floor space would also increase the perception of overlooking from the perspective of the neighbouring occupiers compared with the internal use of the approved windows. As such, the proposal would detract from the residential amenity of the neighbouring occupiers, contrary to Policies G2, D4 and H4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
