Decision
Refusal of Planning Permission on 6th September 2017
Conditions / Refusal Reasons
Having regard to the scale and height of the proposal, the development is considered to be unneighbourly. The development will likely have an oppressive impact on the private amenity areas of the existing adjacent dwellings to the south and north east of the site. The additional height of the building will result in a stark expanse of wall along the south-eastern boundary which will appear visually dominant, intrusive and overbearing and would detract from the amenity of the occupants of the neighbouring dwellings. As such, the development is contrary to the aims of the National Planning Policy Framework, saved policy H4 of the South Oxfrodshire Local Plan 2011 and advice set out in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2016
