The works hereby permitted shall be begun not later than three years from the date of this consent. Reason: To comply with the provisions of section 18(1) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as amended by section 51 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. That the works hereby approved shall be carried out in accordance with the details shown on the following approved plans, 300/P/02A, 300/P/01A, 300/P/03A, 300/P/04A, 7213/10C and 7213/24A, except as controlled or modified by conditions of this consent. Reason: To secure the proper planning of the historic environment in accordance with Development Plan policies. Related application(s): P17/S2008/DIS, P17/S3994/DIS

All new works and works of making good to the retained internal and external fabric of the building shall be finished to match the adjacent work with regard to the methods used and to material, colour, texture and profile, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011. Details, including drawings as necessary, in respect of the following, shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority before the relevant part of the work has begun: a. The new internal structure supporting gantries, stage and lighting bridge and other structural additions Thereafter the works shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details. Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011. That the existing slates shall be salvaged and reused on the new roof structure and any deficit made up using slates to match. All new materials should be as shown on the approved plans. Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

Prior to the removal of the glass, a detailed record of the glazed area of roof to be removed including detailed construction drawings and cross sections as relevant shall be submitted to and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: As the building is of historic importance in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy 2027 and Policy CON14 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

Notwithstanding the details shown on the approved plans, prior to the commencement of the works, details, specifications and finishes of the temperature control mechanisms (louvres on wall openings and extract louvres in roof) shall be submitted to and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.

That , prior to the commencement of the works, details of the internal finishes of the theatre shall be submitted to and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. This should include finishes for any of the new trusses visible from the auditorium and any repainting of the existing case iron trusses. Reason: To safeguard the special architectural or historic interest of the listed building in accordance with Policy CSEN3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy and Policy CON3 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
