The retention of the existing roof tiles would be harmful to the character and appearance of the street scene, through making the flats and semi-detached dwellings appear unduly prominent and as they are out of keeping with the appearance of the surrounding roof scape. As such, the application would be contrary to the Policy CSQ3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy, Policies G2, D1 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011 and Section 7.5 of the South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2016.
