That, having regard to the width, depth and position of the proposed dormer window to the front of the property, the proposal is considered harmful to the character and symmetry of the dwelling and especially to the defining character of both semi-detached properties within Courtfield Road. The development would be contrary to policies CSQ3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy 2027, and policies G2, D1 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011, and advice within 'Loft conversions and roof extensions' (page 10) of Technical Document 5: Householder Extensions, which is a supplementary document to South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2016
